The Pokemon CCG (Collectable Card Game) craze has hit American shores, but it's not finished yet! Now it's adapted in this Game Boy Color Game! You go around playing the CCG, winning new cards and some cash. Challengers of course are still rampant, always rushing to you for a fight. Ash is no longer the character, but another who wears a bandana. I don't know his name yet, but once I get some confirmed info on it, I'll let you know.
The real Pokemon CCG cards are replicated to the very core. Their pics look exactly the same. Stats, attacks, and other info are also imitated. This is kinda cool seeing how the actual thing is in a game. You know, like if you see a Pepsi in a game... it just makes it a bit more lifelike. This is also a big advantage. Many CCG magazines have covered the Pokemon Card Game, and included sometimes some strategies. You can use this to your upper hand and set up your deck in the game like you would with the real deal! Now how handy is that?
The Game Boy Color graphics are just amazing! I just can't believe that Nintendo was able to create such a wonderful gameing tool! Well, not only are the graphics great, but the music just simply kicks ass! I played the rom for a bit, and the music is just COOL! You gotta hand it to Nintendo, Game Boy Color is the best hand held system ever!
I haven't seen it myself, but the Pokemon CCG for GCB is also two players. As you can see, they're adapted to the remote signals that were built into the Game Boy Colors. An even more cool advantage for GCB. But, then again, I haven't seen it in action, so I'll just have to get it myself and see how it goes.
Well, so far, I didn't see any exciting plots. I mean, a kid going around being the best Pokemon Card Game Master? Come on... gimme a better plot... well at least that's how I think the plot is. Again, the game I played was Japanese, and I, like many unfortunate people, cannot read it. I just made out what I could. The only thing that I thought that made it cool were the graphics and music. I guess a quality game is all that matters to them. I hope they can wise up and give us a decent story.
