This page is intended for those who wish to 'cut to the chase' and be assured of a high quality show
For starters might I suggest:
GD 11/8/69-Fillmore West
That early, tribal Dead most of us crave for. Highlights include: A hot Easy Wind, Dark Star>Other1>Dark Star,
St. Stephen, Caution>Main Ten(1st time)>Caution and more. There is some philler from 11/7/69 which has a very funny slide whistle bit, check it out.
GD 8/30/80-Spectrum
This show was mastered by David Gans to digital
GD 4/15/89-Milwaukee
This is a digital audience (FOB) recording. Definately has that 'audiency sound' but non-the-less
is very listenable. Was a great show.
Ratdog 2/12/99-Wetlands Preserve, NYC
If this show wasn't good, it wouldn't be on this page. Warren Haynes and Michael falzarono are guests.
Ratdog 12/1/99-St Petersburg, FL
This was their second stop in Florida after playing the House of Blues, Orlando. This great show opened with Birdsong which was followed by two Birdsong jams
later in the show. A fun Blackbird is followed by a thundering Eternity.
Ratdog 12/2/99-Pompano Beach, FL
Once in a great while we have some quality entertainment visit us right here in Southeast Florida, and this
was one of those nights. This is the last show of the tour and they finished it off nicely.
This was captured on DAT by buddy Scott who was down, fob, stage right. Again, an audiency recording
that has some wind rattling the mic's late in the second set, and yet is still very
listenable.
Hot F'n Tuna 11/27/99-Beacon Theater, NYC
The famous Beacon was the place to be on this night. And Jorma was getting a kick out of it. Includes a lot of his classics you'd expect to hear
as well as Bar Room Crystal Ball, AK-47, Bow Legged Woman-Knock Kneed Man, and GDTRFB.
Neumann KM 184's>Grace Lunatec>Sony SBM-1>DA-P1
Widespread Panic 3/7/94-Pearl Street, Northampton, MA
A powerful Panic show with: Fishwater, C. Brown, Wondering, Pigeons, Porch Song
and more. Almost two hours of music.
