"I got three, Nise," Skan said. "How many have you taken down?"
Nisemeisho, jumping and twisting, with claws strapped to one hand and a naginata in the other, stopped his brutal asault and landed next to Skan. "I think five. Maybe six."
Skan scowled. "Shaddap! Ah, crap, here comes another wave!"
About another half dozen of bug bears were advancing on the duo. They were massive creatures, about seven feet tall. They were large and furry, with a basic humanoid shape. Their faces reminded Skan of a mix between a jackal and a bear. Along with their huge shaggy clawed arms, many other smaller bug like limbs squirmed around, very much useless in battle.
Skan tucked his gun back into his trench coat and pulled out a red whip. "This should be a peice of cake."
Nisemeisho brushed aside his orange hair, covering half of his face. He wore a trench coat too, just blue, though, not tan. "Whatever you say, Skan."
Nise and Skan took two different paths. Skan fought with three beasts as Nise took his own three. After dispatching one - and seeing Nisemeisho take out all three of his already - Skan was knocked to the ground on his stomach. He turned around to see Nise take out another bug bear, as the final one raised one massive clawed hand to strike Skan down. Skan put his hands up protectivly, but he knew it wouldn't be enough.
Just as the claw came down on him, and Nisemeisho's cry rang, a blinding blue flash of light seared Skan's eyes, and he dissapeared.
"What's going on?" Balindor asked Hendel, when they were crouched in the protection of the forest.
"It's impossible to tell back here, unless you're a mind reader!" growled the Dwarf irritably. "The chanting sounds like Gnomes, but the words are blurred. I think you better go ahead and check it out."
"I don't think so," Durin advised quickly. "This is a job for an Elf, not a Dwarf. I can move more quickly and quietly than you, and I'll be able to sense the presence of gaurds."
"This had better be me," Dayel suggested. "I'm smaller, faster, and lighter than the rest of you. Be back in a minute."
As if he was part of the story, Jedra Kayan turned the page slowly as not to interupt the mood of the four trying to act quietly. A crashing sound made him jerk up, the book dropping out of his hands, and his blond ponytail pouncing around erratically.
Jedra had not yet undressed for bed, despite the fact that he had read until very late at night. The twin moons Rosahl and Gael shone full and bright together as if to remind him. He wore a tan colored pair of pants, and a light beige shirt. Leather gloves fit the color scheme, as did his boots and travelling cloak.
Jedra picked up an oak staff, seven inches over six feet long and three inches wide and capped at the ends with mithril metal. He made his way carefully down a hallway of his house, carefully tucking the book into a pocket in his cloak.
Indeed, there were people inside his house. Three men, one of them dumping many of Jedra's valuables in a paper sack. They looked surprised to see him not only awake, but equipped with clothes and a weapon. Despite the surprise, two of the thieves threw themselves at Jedra, brandishing swords.
Jedra had amazing strength and skill with a staff, despite the fact he buried himself in books. He blocked the two blows and drove the staff into one of the intruder's stomachs, the other end coming up and smashing into the face of the second. He spun around, then smashed the end into the face of the first. Because of the power of this blow, he didn't have time to counter the second blow the thief made, blood streaming down his nose.
Jedra didn't even have the time to scream as the blade bore down upon him, when a flash of blue light marked his dissapearance.
Z Omega piloted the mecha with excellent skill. The mecha was over nine feet tall, with an open top that made it easier for the pilot to enter and exit. The mecha was just an ordinary mecha, not equipped with guns, missiles, or even spikes. Just the average fists. But it's strength was all Z needed.
Several Maverick Hunters were attacking him, trying to stop him from taking his prize: Mega Man X. Shots hit the mecha, most of them avoiding Z, and the powerful fists of the mecha could destroy most Reploid's in one hit. If not, then it usually only took a few more hits to finished them off.
Despite the awesome power of the mecha, it was not invincible. After taking too many hits, it sat down and would not move, electrity coursing through it. Z knew that this usually led to explosion and leapt off.
Z, as well as his opponents, was a Reploid. A fighting robot with the ability to feel emotion and make it's own decision. The only problem was that Reploid's could be infected with a computer virus that made them evil. This was called 'going Maverick'. Z's opponents were Maverick Hunters, Repliods who fought only to kill Mavericks. Z himself was an elite Maverick, called an X-Hunter, mweant specifically for killing Mega Man X.
Z was blue and black, with armor looking metal built over him. He had huge shoulder pads that stuck out several inches, and a helmet that covered much of his long dark, dark blue hair that hung down to the back of his knees. While his face looked very human-like, the rest of his body was robotic looking.
Z struck out at several Reploid's using his Z-Sabre, a neon green colored blade of energy. But even as many Maverick Hunter's fell at his feet, he knew that this battle could not be won. He gritted his teeth as a plasma blast took im in the back, making him fall to his hands and knees. He looked up to see and arm cannon aimed point blank directly at his face.
The very moment the blast was fired, Z dissapeared with a flash of bright blue light.
Ittou Hawatari leapt high into the air, staying aloft using his ki, or energy, to keep him in the air. He put his hands together in front of him, like an open clam, to his three opponents on the ground below him.
"Ka-Me-Ha-Me-Ha!" he said, stretched the work 'kamehameha' out in seperate syllables. A huge beam of blue ki erupted from his hands, striking down at his enemies. They all managed to jump to the side in tim.
Ittou looked behind him as one of them jumped up to his level. He struck out with one huge fist, hitting only air as Ittou dissapeared, leaving an afterimage of himself quickly fading out. He reappeared behind his enemy, kicking him in the back. Before his opponent could register himself, he readied amother attack.
Ittou put his hands together at his side as if holding a ball. Instantly, a ball of yellow ki formed, and he flung it at the falling enemy, yelling "Masenko!!"
It hit the man in the back as he fell, causing an explosion on impact. However, Ittou's concentration on the one man let the other two hit him easily. Blows rang from his side and back, and soon, Ittou too slammed into the ground. He got up groggily, wiping a trickle of blood from his mouth. The two men who hit him still hovered high above.
Ittou put one hand high above his head, bent at the wrist, palm up. A yellow disk of his ki, about four foot diameter, began spinning furiously, it's "teeth" at the edges becoming a blur. Ittou brought the hand behind his back, the disk following him. "Destructo Disk!" he yelled, as he whipped his hand forward, the disk following his hand still, then spinning free towards the two men up above.
One of them was too slow. Though he dodged, the Destructo Disk still caught him at the elbow of his right arm, easily slicing through. Before they could react, Ittou jumped up to one of the balconys.
Before his jump was finished, the man with two arms still grabbed his feet and stopped his ascent, pulling him down. Ittou's chin was slammed down against the balcony rail then he was thrown to the ground once more. But this time, he had enough time to land with a flip, crouched in a protective stance. He unsheathed the sword strapped to his back.
"Bring it on!" he yelled. The two men landed in front of him. On of them threw a ball of energy at Ittou, which he effectively sliced with his sword, rendering it usless. Then, they put there three hands together, charging. Before Ittou could react, a beam of iradescant yellow ki shot forth, a blow to fast for Ittou to dodge and too powerful for him to block.
Milliseconds before the attack hit, a blue light flashed, and Ittou was gone.
