I have a friend in particular who is like this. He asks me what he thinks about his webpage or story, and I answer him. I tell him that I think he should get rid of this, add this, do that, and just tell him the bad parts. And I'm stumped when he asks for the good parts (which is kinda pitiful, if you ask me), because there hardly IS any. THEN, he gets mad.
What the HFIL is the deal with this, huh? How does telling people the good parts of something help them? HFIL, all it does is swell up their heads and egos! You tell them the bad parts, and they know what is wrong. They know what they need to change. THEY KNOW HOW TO MAKE IT BETTER. So what's the problem, huh?
Nobody tells me what is wrong with my homepage. Well, some do, and it's stupid things like "I don't like Pokémon, so get rid of Scyther!". Things like that, personal preferences. Why not? I don't care. In fact, I LIKE this! I know what needs to be changed and how. I know the bad parts. I mean, I ask people how I should change it, they say, "I dunno", and I ask them if they think it is a perfect 10. Always a 'no' again. Well, then, for God's sake, HOW can it be a perfect ten? I can understand if they just don't think the entire layout or idea is perfect, and don't know how to make it better without changing it all, or something similar, but I KNOW that isn't the same for everybody else! Damn, man!
