I just beat Zelda: Link's Awakening DX on gameboy, today. You would not believe how awesome this made me feel, people. I have spent literal MONTHS on this game. Never before have I spent such a long time playing a game without a huge gap in the middle of some sort.
Most people beat the game much easier than me. Whatever. I especially had trouble in the second to last dungeon (for those who know, "The Eagle's Tower"), during one puzzle. At one point, I even started the game over just to retry it. You would not believe the lengths I went through trying to solve this. I made sure that I did NOT go online to get the answers. I asked a few friends, but only because, for some reason, I feel morally better saying "A friend helped" instead of "I went on the 'net to get the answers". But despite the people I asked, I did this on my own.
I was at the point where I had mapped out the part I couldn't beat, and took notes, such as how far I can jump or throw a ball, what I could or could not throw the ball over, etc. Three pages of this I have. And finally, today, I came to the solution, during school. I took my Gameboy out (of course, as a geek, I carry it around with me to school), and tried it. Lo and behold, it worked. The final dungeon and the Egg (last stage) where a piece of cake, afterwards.
I beat the game! And DAMNED if it doesn't feel good!
