  • Brevard Community College Online, Cocoa, Florida, contact them at 1(321)632-1111 or e-mail them from their Information Request Pages for more information on Brevard's Associate of Arts, and Associate of Science on-line degree programs. Brevard Community College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

  • Caldwell College, Caldwell, New Jersey, contact Part-Time Admissions at 1(973)228-4424, extension 380 for information on their Business Administration, Communication Arts, Criminal Justice, English, History, International Business, Political Science, Psychology, Religious Studies, Sociology, and Social Studies External Degree Programs. Art, and the Computer Information system degrees have some on-campus requirements. In 1952, the College received full accreditation from the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

They offer Associates in Medical Transcription, Respiratory Therapy, Respiratory Technology, Electroencephalographic Technology, Early Childhood Education. Bachelors are offered in General Business, Accounting, Management, Finance, and Marketing. Masters are offered in Health Sciences (Community Health or Wellness Promotion), Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration in Healthcare. California College is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commision of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC). The commission is listed by the US Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency.

  • California State University, Dominguez Hills, California, contact them through their website about their Humanities External Degree program. California State University, Dominguez Hills is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

  • Capella University formerly TGSA, contact them at info@capella.edu about their MBA, Masters, PhD, certificate and continuing education level programs in Business, Human Services, Education and Psychology, as well as Bachelors, Masters and certificate level programs in Information Technology. They now offer more than 400 classes in more than 40 areas of specialization. Capella University is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Central Michigan University is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Charter Oak State College is the external degree program of the State of Connecticut. It is licensed and accredited by the Department of Higher Education and accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

  • Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, FL, contact them at indstudy@cts.db.erau.edu or call them at 1(904) 226-6263 to learn more about their distance and extended degrees or coursework. All Embry-Riddle programs offered both on and off-campus are fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

  • Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, contact them at 1(404)727-3956, or through their online form about the Masters in Public Health (also called Career Master of Public Health). The CMPH program is delivered primarily via the web, with 2 on-campus sessions per semester. The university is accredited by SACS, and the Rollins School of Public Health is additionally accredited by CEPH (the accrediting body for public health schools).

  • Fielding Graduate Institutue, Santa Barbara, California offers various graduate degrees in the areas of School Psychology, School Educational Leadership and Change, and the School of Human and Organizational Development. Fielding is accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WACS) and its Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Program is accredited by The American Psychological Association (APA).

  • The George Washington University, Washington DC, offers the nation's oldest graduate Distance Education program in Educational Technology Leadership. For more information about the ETL Program, contact them by telephone at (202) 994-1701, send e-mail to etladmin@www.gwu.edu, or visit their website at www.gwu.edu/~etl.

  • Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, contact scs@indiana.edu or 1(800)334-1011 for more information on their Bachelor of General Studies degree. Indiana University is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement.

  • James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia, contact adult-degree-program@jmu.edu or 1(540)568-6147 for more information on their Bachelor in Individualized Studies Adult Degree Program. **Note: This college does not seem to have alot of distance courses available. Make sure you find out if this degree can be completed entirely through distance education or if certain classes have to be taken at local colleges/universities.

  • Judson College (a women's college), Marion, Alabama, contact them via their Adult Studies Information Request Webform, e-mail admissions@future.judson.edu or 1(800)447-9472 for more information on their many Adult Study Degrees available. Be aware that their contact e-mail may be under revision as they just changed their Adult Studies Program title for the degrees to Distance Learning Program. Judson College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

  • Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia, contact them at pdburton@liberty.edu or 1(800)424-9596 about the External Degree Programs that lead to an Associate of Arts in General Studies or Religion; a Bachelor of Science in Business (specifically accounting, finance, marketing, or management), General Studies, Psychology, or Religion; or a Masters of Arts in Counseling or Professional Counseling.**A MBA program coming fall 1998.

This university is a private distance learning institution offering programs from the bachelor through doctorate degree levels in business and psychology, providing adult learners anywhere in the world with the educational opportunity to acquire a body of knowledge in a recognized academic area or disciple; to develop intellectual, analytical and critical abilities; to foster values such as the commitment to pursue lifelong learning; to experience academic self-improvement and professional growth; and to earn academic degrees commensurate with their studies. They are currently, as of September 23rd 1999, attempting to gain accredidation, and are on the self-study step of the accredidation process. They are unaccredited at this time.

Ohio University is accredited by the North Central Associaton of Colleges and Schools.

  • Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia, contact the Graduate Program Director for information on the Online Master of Science in Education accredited by NCATE and the Virginia Department of Education for those persons with a liberal arts or science bachelors from an accredited institution whom want to teach in middle school. ODU also offers degrees in for those who have completed their first two years of 100 and 200 level class requirements in the Virginia Community College System or another accredited institution of higher learning. After the initial two years, the 300 and 400 level classes can be taken via video streaming on your computer at fixed times like normal classes. One must have the following minimum computer requirements to utilize video streaming classes: 400MHz Pentium Processor, 128 MB Ram, and an Internet connection via LAN, Cable Modem, or ADSL so as to connect at the minimum speed of 200Kb per second. The software requirements for video streaming are as follows: Netscape 4.61 or higher, Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, Video player called RealPlayer 7.0 or higher, and most recent Adobe Acrobat Reader.   • OnlineCSU is the online classroom of the four Connecticut State Universities: Central, Eastern, Southern, and Western. OnlineCSU offers fully-accredited courses approved for credit which can be applied towards a degree. Both graduate and undergraduate courses are available, and new classes are offered each semester. At OnlineCSU, the faculty who design the course teach the course. And beginning in the fall of 1999, OnlineCSU will offer a Master of Library Science degree online, with more online degree programs to follow in 2000. The four Connecticut State Universities are accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc.; the Board of Governors of Higher Education, State of Connecticut; and the Connecticut State Department of Education.
