Here are some pics of my past projects.....
1968 Camaro SS/RS
I bought this car about 2 years ago for $135.oo from a junk yard. It
was in worse condition than project Corvette! I basically had to hand build
this car from scratch. I swore I would never do a project of this size again!
HA! Anyway, it was a nice car and my total investment was around $1,600.oo.
It was not show quality but it got me to work and back and the car got looks
all the time. It had a 350/350T auto, Ralley Sport Hideaway headlights,
factory console and shifter, quick ratio power steering and deluxe interior.
This car was recently SOLD and I am now 'Camaroless' but at least I
still have my Corvettes and my Firebird.
1969 El Camino Custom
I bought this car about 3 years ago for $150.oo from an engine rebuilding shop.
It had no engine/trans and the truck looked like it had been beaten with an
ugly stick! I replaced alot of the sheet metal on this car and dropped in a
350/350T out of a wrecked '74 El Camino. This truck is a workhorse and it
gets driven everyday by my wife and goes out of state for parts runs and to
the dump for trash drop offs. Total investment is around $900.oo. Not bad
for a truck that drives like a Caddy and has hauled in one form or another
through the past three years. I am pondering dropping in a big block in the
future.
1981 Z/28 Camaro
I bought this car in '92 and sold it in '96 when I bought my house.
I regret ever selling this car. I drove this car all over the place and
completely resto-fied it with clear coat paint, chrome plated motor, fresh
interior, etc. I cried the day it sold and I lost money in the sale and swore
I would never do it again. I haven't seen it on the road lately, but I used
to see it now and again after I sold it. The car looked like it had been
abused which made me even sadder.
1989 Firebird Formula 350
I just bought this car a few weeks ago. My mother has owned it since 1992
and has babied it ever since. I bought the car from her when she bought her
Corvette. This car has a TPI350 L98 motor from the factory and 4 speed auto
with overdrive. Is fully loaded (less T-tops) and has the F41 suspension,
performance rear axle, posi-track rear end, four wheel disks, and 16 inch
aluminum wheels. This is one of the nicest and fastest cars I have owned.
This one is a keeper! I have recently taken the car to a local paint and
body shop to have it repainted and to have new decals put on.
