"Cinema, that's all I know and all I am. Just look around my room and you'll see. There is not an inch on my walls that is not covered by a movie poster, calendar, sticker, or magazine cut out. To me film is not just another form of entertainment, it is an art. The ultimate art, it is painting, dancing, writing, music, acting, and all other forms of art rolled into one and I love it. I love watching movies and escaping from reality, I love discussing movies and finding a meaning to each frame put on the screen, I love making movies and the pressure and the sleepless nights of planning, writing, and just trying to tell a story through film. I love seeing my finished product play in front of an audience and seeing what I had pictured in my mind come to life on a screen. I love the sound of applause when the end credits scroll by; the sound of hands clapping for my film is a beautiful priceless sound. To me it doesn't get any better than that. But I don't just make films to hear applause; I do it for myself. I use the art of filmmaking to express myself. Finding new and creative ways to put my feelings onto film is what it is all about. Deciding between a close up, long shot, or medium shot, developing a character, and telling a story, to me makes cinema the greatest form of art in the world. Movies have been around for over a hundred years, they have inspired millions and changed the way we look at the world and there is still so much more to be done with it. It is a constantly changing and evolving art form and I believe that I can help develop it and make it better. It's all I know and all I am."
