began a professional relationship with James Cameron during "True Lies" in his capacity as executive vice president of feature production at 20th Century Fox. During his five-and-a-half years in that post, he supervised production on many major motion pictures from Fox, including "Die Hard 2," the "Home Alone" films, "White Men Can't Jump," "Last of the Mohicans," "Alien3," "Mrs. Doubtfire," "Speed," "Waiting to Exhale" and "Broken Arrow." Landau was co-producer on "Dick Tracy" and "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids." He produced "Campus Man" for Paramount. Born in New York City, Landau is a graduate of USC.
Producer Jon Landau began in the business as a post-production supervisor and production manager before earning his first producing credit on "Campus Man" (1987). After co-producing "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" (1989) and Warren Beatty's "Dick Tracy" (1990), he served as vice president of feature productions at 20th Century Fox, where he began his professional relationship with director James Cameron with "True Lies" (1994). During his five-and-a-half year tenure at Fox, Landau supervised production on many films, including "Die Hard 2" (1990), John Hughes' "Home Alone" (1990) and its sequel "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" (1992), "The Last of the Mohicans" (1992), "Mrs. Doubtfire" (1993), "Waiting to Exhale" (1995) and "Broken Arrow" (1996). He returned to the producing ranks on what reportedly became the most expensive film made to date, Cameron's blockbuster "Titanic" (1997).

During his five-and-a-half years in that position, he supervised production on all major motion pictures from Fox including “Die Hard II,” “Mrs. Doubtfire,” “True Lies,” “Last of the Mohicans,” “Home Alone,” “Alien 3,” “Broken Arrow” and many more blockbuster hits. Currently, Landau’s company, Lightstorm Entertainment, is developing over 20 projects the company intends to produce over the next five years. Most recently, Landau’s producer talents have been applied to the science fiction film “Solaris,” directed by Academy Award winner Steven Soderberg. The film, which Landau is producing along with his Lightstorm Entertainment partners James Cameron and Rae Sanchini, was released in December 2002 through Twentieth Century Fox.
