EXT. STREETS OF NEW YORK - MORNING
ABE is walking down the street on his way to work. He is wearing a dark sweater vest with a mismatched pair of slacks. He is carrying a briefcase in one hand and a V-8 in the other. His stride is awkward as he enters his office building.
INT. ABE’S OFFICE BUILDING - MORNING
Abe goes to the sign-in desk and sets his briefcase down. SECURITY comes over to him.
SECURITY
Good morning Abe.
ABE
Morning.
SECURITY
You know Abe, you can use your I.D. Badge on the reader over there. You don’t have to sign in every morning now.
ABE
Yeah, but then I wouldn’t get to say good morning to the finest security in town.
SECURITY
Now where is that kind of flattery gonna get ya? There’s not much I can do for ya.
ABE
Well how about “In case of Fire rescue the apathetic writer on the 4th floor.”
SECURITY
(laughing)
Well okay I can do that for ya. Have a good morning, Abe.
Abe walks towards the elevator and sees it packed. He keeps walking by and takes the stairs.
