Welcome to the film project, HELL AT 30 BELOW. A compelling, nostalgic drama about a distressed young woman who commits herself to a state mental hospital, to escape her abusive husband. However, HELL AT 30 BELOW is not a story that centers on "abuse", but rather a coming of age, romantic drama that takes us on a journey through time revealing one woman's struggle to resolve her troubled past, and her courageous steps towards reclaiming her life as a 'free woman' and eventually... her way back to the man who holds the key to her heart. The screenplay is an adaptation from Karen's novel (both copyrighted under the same title)based on a true story. This deeply moving, timeless story written from the heart, will draw a wide (teens to adults) audience. Filming locations take place in the pristine coastal town of EASTPORT, MAINE and surrounding areas. Karen is seeking funding/investors for the production of HELL AT 30 BELOW.
