This website is dedicated to the independent film "Illegal Smile" produced by The Other End of the State Productions. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be involved in this film and had the chance to portray ten different characters, seven of which made the final cut. I also helped to design a fish costume, was in charge of makeup, and gave some ideas that were used in the film.
The original film script was written by Chris Durant. Karen Gordon is the Executive Producer, and the film was directed by James Faulk. We had a couple of names from Hollywood, including emmy award winner Jack Hanrahan and also Russ Thompson.
This was a great experience for me, my first involvement with an independent film. I am now serving on the Board of Directors of The Other End of the State Productions, and we have future projects planned.
The Wolrd Premiere of the film was on December 15, 2006 at the historic Eureka Theatre. The house was packed and we got a good response from the audience. There are currently talks of playing the film again in Arcata, film festivals, and DVD sales.
