Can I have my brain back?

In an era of time saving, quick fix solutions, I don't see how we (or me) has so little time to deal with the things I need to get done. Is it just me or does the world really wait until you're so freaking swamped with important or menial tasks just to dump a whole new load of menial or equally important tasks to sweat over?

I'm losing my freakin mind over here. I now realize why it's so important to go to school when you are young and ignorant, and not after father time has kicked you around a little and left you bruised and skeptical. And I'm only taking one night course!! What will I be like in a full time program in September. I'm starting to worry that if I don't handle my stress more eloquently, I'm going to end up being that crazy guy in the back of the class who wears the same damn outfit 4 out of 5 schooldays and mumbles to himself whilst he does his long division, chewing a pen, oblivious to that stale odor of cheese emanating from his bag.

"Stay away from the crazy guy, kids" they'll all say, "He's got a mortgage, a cat, a crap load of debt, and *snicker* a 466 pentium." I bet they'll even start a rumor that old man Adam was found wandering the halls asking people overly personal questions with both hands in his pockets.

Either way, I've got no time to deal with all the s&*t that's going on. I've got tests, exams, bills, quotas, weddings, relationships, vacations, and a whole bag of worms to stress about. And you know you're stressed when you stress about a vacation!!!

Anywho, I know I'll deal, and I won't bitch any further about this, because I already know that Jon will post a remark such as "you don't have a kid, so quit bitchin" And by the way, I do. It's me. I've got to raise myself everyday, teach myself what's right or wrong, tell myself to sit up straight, tuck in that shirt, comb my hair, and to stop pointing that thing at other people. The only difference is Jon has to discipline another human being when they're bad, whilst I get to spank myself all the time.

I'm an ass

You heard me...an ass. I wouldn't say I'm a big ass, and I know I'm definitely not a small ass, so I guess I'm somewhat of a mediocre ass. You know, the kind that means to do well but ends up screwing it all up without ever wondering what the hell happened. Well, that's me.

I've been using the crappiest of computers for the last few months because my main computer at home has been constantly crashing. Instead of fixing it right away, I format a 75pentium and a 133 piece o shiny metal dung just to keep me occupied. All it took was a good scrubbin and a few tests and voila, my old comp is back and running.

And that's where I'm an ass. Now I'm stuck with a Linux box, 75, 133, and my 466, all with important files and information randomly placed about. I have no clue what I put where in the no how. For the next couple of weeks, I bet I'll be searching high and low for some file, like my updated resume, on a system that probably doesn't even have it.

I'm sure I'll do fine and find what I need, I guess I just needed to bitch about my own stupidity. Wish me luck.
