The Mad Archiver

Why do you call yourself The Mad Archiver? Why are you so angry?
I'm not angry. In fact, I'm quite a positive person! Here, I'm using the term mad to refer to the fact that, as I'm quite busy both on-line and off, I must be positively daft to have undertaken starting this site.
What does ______ mean in a transcript?
May I use excerpts from the transcripts on my site, message board, etc.?
If you wish to use copyrighted material from this site for purposes of your own that go beyond 'fair use', you must obtain permission from the copyright owner. With that in mind, you may use quotes from our transcripts in your fanfiction, message boards, etc. Credit by linking to this site would be appreciated.
Where can I find transcripts for ______?
If you're looking for transcripts for a particular TV show (or movie), I suggest you do what I do and give it a Google. Try including the terms episode transcripts or TV show transcripts along with the name of the TV series.
Will you be adding any more transcripts?
Maybe... but if it doesn't say WORKING ON IT on the Archive Index don't hold your breath. (And even if it does say WORKING ON IT, don't hold your breath! In case you weren't aware, a transcript takes a LOT of time, especially when Real Life does a great job of getting in the way.)
I have some content: will you host it for me?
Well, this is an archive, so if you have content - such as episode transcripts or fanfiction - that I could archive here, write to me at the address below and we can discuss it.
What is up with this plain website layout?
Since this site is on a free webhost, a layout with no graphics means that more bandwidth is available for the content. Plus, since this site is intended to have content from multiple fandoms, a basic layout gives the pages a more uniform look.
Hmm, that's a good idea. May I use this website layout?
Yes, you may as long as you give credit by including "the site's current layout" paragraph below with all of the links intact.
How can I contact you?
Use the email address in the Contact The Mad Archiver section below.
This site may contain copyrighted material the use of which has not been specifically authorized by the copyright owner. We believe that its use here constitutes a 'fair use' of any such copyrighted material. The information on this completely unofficial site is intended for educational and promotional purposes only, that is, as a reference for those fans who (like me!) enjoy pouring over details of these shows, and to help generate some interest in the series. No profit is being made by the webmistress.
If you are the copyright holder, and you feel that your work has not been properly credited, please contact the webmistress and the material in question will be promptly amended or removed.
Note that any ads placed on this site are done so by its host, angelfire.com, and any website you visit from said ads is solely the responsibility of the vendor, merchant, or other party supplying the ad and its target website. The webmistress of this archive does not endorse, guarantee, nor support the content of third party ads or links.
The site's current layout started with the blank XHTML template provided by www.w3.org. It was then modified by Anne Bristow using common Style Sheet/XHTML elements from various sources, including boutell.com and the W3 Validator.
If you have a question, please check the frequently asked questions (above) before you write. It will save us both some time if the question has already been answered.
Still got something to say? I *love* feedback from site visitors, so send those emails to archive47 AT SYMBOL yahoo DOT com. Be sure to put "The Mad Archiver" in your subject line or it is very likely that your email will be filtered out as spam. Thanks!
When a site visitor takes the time to write to me, I make an effort to write back. If you're waiting on a response from me, note the following:
If you followed my suggestions for emailing and it's been a few days and you still haven't heard from me, I apologize. Sometimes, especially if someone asks a question, I lack the time to craft a proper reply. So I put off writing to the person and before you know it, I've waited too long to respond. I'm not trying to be rude; I'm just a bit lazy sometimes. Feel free to write again.
