The Running Man tells the story of Ben Richards. Unlike the book, This Ben Richards works for the government. He is framed for a crime that he did not commit. He is imprisoned, but he escapes. When he is caught, he is forced to go on "The Running Man" an sadistic game show in which convicts are chased after by "stalkers"; if one can survive however, then they are granted freedom... supposedly. This movie is a VERY good example of the 80's "B-flick." This movie has nothing profound about it. In fact, the book was abandoned because they said it was too "depressing." The direction is extremely poor (but what do you expect from the same person who directed Kazaam). This movie is MORE than worthy of being made fun of my Mystery Science Theater 3000 or some other group of people who enjoy making fun of movies (HINT HINT HINT MOVIE NIGHT HINT). All in all if your not watching this to make fun of it, you might be disappointed.
