Service Ribbons (page 1 - page 2)
Service ribbons or ribbon bars, as they are also called, are representations of an actual military medal. However, some service ribbons that do not have an accompanying medal.
They are worn in the order of precedence from the wearer's right to left in one or more rows. Generally, ribbons are worn on Service Dress Blue, Service Dress White, Service Khaki and Summer White.

Attachments and Devices
Small metal devices are worn the ribbon bar to denote additional awards, campaigns, additional honors or subsequent service. They attachments come in the form of stars, oak leaf clusters, numerals, arrowheads, etc. and are another means to indicate the level and extent of the medal holder's service to country. Devices and attachments are placed on service ribbons centered from top to bottom and from right to left.

Ribbon Bar Holders
I sell holders that will hold from one ribbon to twenty-five (25) ribbons. The holders make attaching ribbons to a uniform easy and they also can be used in display cases.
Most of my ribbon bar holders are made of stainless steel. They all have nail and clutch backings. They have 0 vertical space between the rows and are horizontally centered.
