My unit patch, 35th Brigade
Unfortunately for myself, i joined the US Army on February 8th, 2001. I hate the Army itself, but the cool part about it is the things you get to do, and the people you get to meet. Not just meet, but live with, train with, and survive hell with. Soldiers can get very close to their "Battle Buddies", sharing feelings and exeperiences with them that they never imagined. Most people probably never imagined shareing a shower with 60 other people either. :)
For those people who are actually interested, i attended Basic Traning at Ft. Jackson, SC, with B Co. 3-13th Infantry Regiment. For AIT i went to Ft. Bliss, TX, where i was a part of 14T Class 22-23.
*DISCLAIMER*
The Army's IET Training environment isnt exactly an easy going, slow paced place.
I would like to take this moment to remind you of that and ask you not to judge the looks
of the people shown here (espicially me ;) We just went through the hardest nine
weeks of our lives, and well... we look like it. :)

I thought i'd start with my bunk in Basic Training.
Look at how tight it is! ooh, nice!
In the Army appearance is everything, and its one of the first lessons you have to learn.

These were my Drill Sergeants, Drill Sergeant
Williams on your left, and Drill Sergeant Armstrong on the right.
I have an incredible amount of respect for them. I had the best Drill Sergeants in
the world!

This is French, my assigned Battle Buddy, seen here
with her husband.
She pretty much singlehandedly dragged me thru Basic Training.
She kept me squared away, and i kept her entertained. :)
She's an ADD kids best friend. :)

These are the Females of the Wolfpack! Well,
most of them anyway.
Looks like a few chicks from 2nd Platoon snuck into our picture.
What a fun gang! ;)

Here we are posing with and sexually harassing our
platoon mascot, Wolfie!
You know he likes it...

Here i am with Aubel on your right, and Norman in the
middle.
These were the chicks that kept me laughing every day, which is something you need to do
to survive.

Here's Aubel again. Isnt she lucky, i picked so many pictures of her! LOL

Here's me, showing off the infameous "BCG"s
or "Birth Control Glasses.
I didnt realise until i got my pictures back, how BAD i actually looked while in training.

And here's some, but not all of the females in Class A uniform. Sorry i dont have any pictures of the male half of the platoon on the site, but those pictures were harder to get as i didnt live with them, and none of them came out good.
Now we go to AIT

You cant really see it, but thats me driving.
This is a HEMTT, a Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck.
This is the vehicle used to haul a PATRIOT missile launcher, and we spend as much time
with the truck as we do with the launcher itself.

This is me practicing trailer hookup. The
launcher is mounted onto a trailer.
What you see here is just a practice trailer tho.
Okay, enough work! Lets go to the barracks!

This is Mayle (pronounced May-lee, NOT male...)
clinging to Stryker.
We were all very close friends as you can tell. LOL

Here is Stryker demonstrating why i started calling
her Streaker instead.
I have about a dozen other pictures of her without pants.

This is Private Ryan using my highly contraband cel
phone in my room.
Ryan is in Germany now. Lucky...

And here's Sexy Roper with Wet Hair.
She goes with the Sexy Luke with Wet Hair Action Figure.

This would be me, showing off the tattoo i got while
i was on a weekend pass.
Its hard to see, but its a silver chain studded with emeralds.

Here i am again at my sisters house, packing up after
my first leave.
I graduated AIT, and now its time to go permanant party!

These are my buddies, Isham on the left, Hernandez on
the right.
They were in my AIT class, and the first thing we did after coming back from leave was to
go to
Carlsbad Caverns, where we are in this pic.

Sunset at Ft. Bliss

McGregor Range, New Mexico, where i spent my time during the crisis in September on guard duty.

Look, its me on guard duty! Dont i just look oh so happy!?

A T-Storm approaching the Range

T-Storm went around us, but sure did look cool!

And here's my buddy Isham again, driving his car.
In all likelyhood we were on our way to Taco Bell and the movies.
