Frank Stratton is a New York Based Professional Pianist, Arranger & Composer. Educated at THE BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC (’74) and HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY (’77). His background includes comprehensive studies in pianoforte, arranging & composition. Influenced by such jazz greats as Chick Corea, Joe Sample & McCoy Tyner, his original music bridges the gap between Jazz Fusion, Film & Multi Classical. He is currently a BMI artist, a member of Local802 and just recently a participating member of `SAG' the SCREEN ACTORS GUILD.


Frank, in the past joined forces with Prof. Herbert A. Deutsch (Composer, Author, Educator and MOOG Synthesizer co-developer with the late Robert Moog) in one of the first Multi-Synth Ensembles called “KITCHEN SYNC”. The Deutsch/Stratton collaboration led to a compositional joint venture for ‘MULTI GRAVITATIONAL AERODANCE’. While at Hofstra, Frank was a recipient of the 1976 'DOROTHY HOAG FELLOWSHIP' for advanced studies in Electronic Music & Composition. He was recently presented the GOLD STAR AWARD at Mercy Medical Center.


His music can be heard on national TV and Radio representing products for JERGENS®, Discovery Communications, Procter & Gamble and SPIKE-TV. As of recently, "laser drops" for AVON® and Proactiv® (Guthy-Renker). In the New York City area, he has composed incidental and program music for WNYC (NPR) & WBAI (Pacifica Communications). Recently, in the northeast region he has framed audio spots for General Mills and their affiliates. He is currently working with the staff at Time Warner Cable Media Sales in conjunction with The Biography Channel.


Franks' current discography contains over fifty compact discs of original music. Portions of his compositional output are posted nationally and internationally on the World Wide Web and he has on many occasions, been voted 'Top Latin Jazz Artist’ on SONY'S ACIDplanet.com.
