There chat was interrupted by the Velociraptors who had been following Lex. Jo watched their glowing eyes look into hers. She leaned back against the bars, into Lex's arms. There was a big green Velociraptor and a brown one. The green hissed at the brown.

To Lex's and Jo's surprise the raptors knew exactly where the door opening was. They had probably trapped other prey inside the cage and eaten it inside. Their teeth scrapped on the metal... The gate slowly squeaked up... "DIG!" shouted Lex.

Jo and Lex started to dig in a corner, they knew it was their only chance out. The green Velociraptor stuck its head under the gate.

Seeing Lex and Jo digging the brown Velociraptor was distracted and failed to help his fellow pack member open the gate. "What's this?" said Jo as she felt something hard under the dirt she was removing. "I feel it too, maybe its another gate, keep on digging!" commanded Lex.

At that moment the Alpha Raptor jumped on the cage. It was the one with the burnt snout that Lex had been responsible for. It hissed and barked at the other distracted raptors. Its eyes glowed green.

While the commanding raptor was hissing Jo and Lex recovered the hard object they had come across. "What is it?" asked Jo.  It was a metal "pump" which had wires hooked onto the cage. "I know! Its a electricity generator! If it still works we can pump up the electricity and run it through the metal cage!" explained Lex. "If we do that, then we can get rid of the raptors!" shouted Jo.

"Well, what are we waiting for?" asked Jo. Lex put his foot on the pump. He gave it a few pumps and to his surprise the ends of the wires actually sparked! He also heard the sound of the friction motor inside spinning. Lex kept on pumping and pumping, getting more sparks each time.

The Velociraptors now had the cage door open. They were using there big hands and teeth. "Faster!" shouted Jo. "I'm going!!!!" shouted Lex. He feared for his life, sweat poured down his face.

All of a sudden the motor went by itself and Lex stopped pumping. There was a silence, then a loud screech. Electricity passed through every one of the metal bars, electrocuting the raptors.  Lex looked up. "Its working!" he shouted. Blue electrical currants were seen by the naked eye, they lit up the night sky. The two weaker raptors fell down and shook. The burnt raptor reared up and howled in pain.

Slowly the electricity died down, letting the pack-hunters up. They quickly came to their senses and rolled off the cage, hissing along the way.

The Velociraptors ran off into the night, just as the electricity stopped. Lex was so exhausted that within an hour he was on the ground sleeping. He was very tired and needed a good sleep for the walking trip back to Luthers Building in the morning.

In the morning Lex helped Jo out of the cage she had been in for days. Not trapped, just scared to face the elements, elements of chaos. They needed to get back to Luther's building before Chris left. Lex knew Chris wouldn't leave but he didn't want to hang around in the wild for fun.

They started towards the plain, towards their target. The ground was dry, it hadn't rained in awhile. "Jo, is it odd it hasn't rained?" asked Lex. "No, sometimes we get rain for weeks, then it stops for weeks. It rains off and on, it is not a complete cycle at all," explained Jo.

They reached the plain. The grass had gotten long since Lex once left. The herbivores ate the grass but they wouldn't come near Luther's building.

Lex spotted the building after coming up a hill. "There it is!" shouted Lex, he felt good. The grass tangled as he walked on it, anything could be hiding in it. Lex was glad to see the chopper still on top, but he didn't see Ol' Betsy, he hoped Chris was still at the building!

They kept on walking. ~hissSsSsSs~ Jo heard it first, it was a hissing sound. She told Lex, "We better hurray up!" Then, out of nowhere the head of a Dilophosaurus arose  from the long grass! It opened its frill up and screeched. ~Graaaaaaaaaaaaahiiiiiiiissssssssss!!!!!!~ It surprised Jo so she fell back and quickly looked into its pale yellow eyes. Lex remained still. He saw its forked tongue, like a snake.

"Don't just stand there! CRAWL!" shouted Jo. Lex just did what she told him too, she knew more about the animals then he did. The Dilophosaurus was not interested in eating Jo and Lex, it was nesting. Two hatchlings were drinking milk from her.

"Why do we have to crawl?!" Lex shouted to Jo. "Because they're known to spit poison 20 feet!"  As they crawled the infants followed them through the grass.

"The little ones are gaining on us!" yelled Lex. "Don't worry, they can't do much, consider them as dogs!" yelled Jo back.

After a bit more crawling and a few bites the two got up and started to run. They were now out of the nesting Dilophosaurus' spitting range.

They reached the empty garage of Luther's building. Quickly, the explorers ran up the stairs up to the next floor.

Lex looked down at the grass, he didn't see anything. But then again, those little buggers were quite hard to see in the grass. "Chris! Chris? Are you there?" shouted Jo. There was no answer. "Lets check upstairs, shall we?" said Lex.

Lex and Jo reached upstairs. There was Chris. standing there, waiting for them. "I saw you guys with those Dilos, pesky things!" Chris stated. "Chris! Good to see you! How are the systems and the helicopter fuel?" asked Lex. "Perfect! I corrected all the patterns in the system and we can get home now that we have Jo with us. "Any signs of Luther?" asked Jo. "Well, yes. I found is body by the mud channel, not pretty," explained Chris. "Where is the ATV?" asked Lex. "Oh...About that. You see I was exploring, trying to find you guys. I was done the debugging so I had nothing better to do. A giant Tyrannosaurus Rex got it. I lived by staying still under the car," explained Chris. "So, we can leave right now?" asked Lex. "Yes, Lets get the hell out of here"
