NEWS

08-04-03

So, finally, we have some finished films!  Resting Places, sadly, will remain forever on the cutting room floor, but we've managed to complete several smaller films in an epic series (The Letter) that (one day) will appear on our very own DVD.  Below is a link to several pictures from one such film (Finders Keepers).  If you'd like to see the complete finished product, you can check it out at www.triggerstreet.com.  In other news, Comic Short was completed and mailed.  However, like our comic ideas, we faced rejection (is it really rejection if they don't even bother to respond?).  In any case, Spilt Milk continues!  Yes, whether you like it or not, we're still creating a special blend of entertainment that's one part diary and three parts imagination...

P.S. Don't forget to check out Finders Keepers...

Yes, it's been a wild time for us at Spilt Milk.  Resting Places is in the thralls of post production, and we've started shooting a smaller, funny-silly, film about comics an such for Wizard magazine's short  film competition.  We're in the first stages of  a full length highlighting our plight as small time film makers / comic creators in Humboldt.  Yes, we're busy, busy, busy...

P.S. Be sure to check back soon for stills from Resting Places...

THE DEATH OF SPILT MILK...?!

O.K., so it's been forever and a day, but I'm back at it again.  A few notes are in order: 1) The Wizard film was a success, but Wizard didn't think so (they never responded after we sent it to them), 2) Resting Places was shot but never left the editing room (sad...), 3) We shot another short, Owen, just before I left Humboldt for that heavenly movie land in the south that we all know and love (LOS ANGELES!!!), and, of course, 4) I did finish writing two scripts about the Humboldt experience.  Neither hit-the-spot as scripts but, if you're interested, you can read the second of the two, Dead Country, at www.triggerstreet.com (a good spot to visit for anyone interested in the super-fantastic-super-simple-super-silly end of the indie film world...

So, to answer the question you've all been waiting for (with baited breath no doubt), the founders of Spilt Milk are now in very different parts of California.  While both are still involved in film production of one kind or another, it's safe to say they don't work together anymore (very sad...).  Does this spell the end of Spilt Milk?!  Well (not that I've consulted with the company co-creator-founder yet) this particular film fellow feels obliged to keep the company on it's feet.

HAPPY DAY!

How do I plan to do this you ask (again, with baited breath)?  In absence of a camera (at least for now) I've started an unusual radio style program all of my own.  To check it out simply click HERE.  It's very experimental, but I figure it's a good way to keep my hand in the entertainment trade while waiting for...well, hell, I don't know what I'm waiting for.  Finishing my next script I suppose.  Anyway, as always, I'm looking forward to all your comments and suggestions.  SPILT MILK LIVES ON!!

OUR STORY

After a fatal accident involving milk, we (the creators behind this wild endeavor) set out to make super low budget, ultra small, entirely independent films in the somewhat unexplored and unappreciated segment of northern California known as Humboldt County...

Yes, we're still tying up the loose ends of our first (tinny-tiny), totally DV, film.  But once it's done, we think you'll be amazed (depending, of course, on any number of complex and incomprehensible factors not listed here).

WHY COMICS?

At some point (probably when we realized just how hard movie production can be) we turned our attention to comic creation.  We're working on our first title Samsara Split now and in development on a second, Nowhere Man.   For a sample of our work just check out the pictures on this page (which we'll update now an' then), or send us an e-mail.
