What the movies are about….
Of coarse I’ll start with the first movie X-Men. The movie begins with Patrick Stewart’s voice telling us about the evolution of men then you go into a roller coaster ride down what looks to be a backbone. You meet a young boy in the year of 1944 in Poland, then you meet a young girl whose kiss seems to be a little deadly, then you’re taken to a large room where you meet Jean Grey, Senator Kelly, Professor Xavier, and a man named Eric. You then travel to Alaska where you meet Wolverine fighting and winning in a cage. (Which is like a wrestler’s ring, except it is surrounded by chain link fence instead of rope), you find out the girl’s name is Marie, a.k.a. Rogue, and Wolverine’s real name is Logan. They get in an accident, where Logan is thrown through the window (this is why seatbelts are sooo important people!!!!) and we get to see what his other mutant ability is (beside those three nine inch long claws that come out of both his hands). He fights with a very large man, but is rescued by a woman who seems to control the weather, and a man whose eyes you wouldn’t want to look to deep into. Logan’s truck goes boom and you see a man squatting and airbrushing something. He talks briefly with the man who attacked Logan and his goggles make his eyes seem extremely large and funny looking. The man walks into another room after growling at the one airbrushing and we meet yet another guy who can move chairs without touching them and takes a necklace off the one man and we recognize it as Logan’s dog tag he was wearing earlier. Then we see a faded tattoo on this man’s arm and realize that he was the little boy from Poland. Then we see a nice shot of Logan’s bare chest and Jean Grey walks in and around him as he lies on a table of sorts. She goes to take blood from him but he suddenly awakes and scares everyone (that is Jean and the audience.) He runs out of the room leaving Jean sitting on the floor and eventually, with Xavier’s help ends up in Xavier’s office where we see some kids, one being Kitty as she runs back to the Professor and grabs her bag and then runs through the door. Soon Logan and Xavier are joined by the woman who we are told is Ororo Monroe, a.k.a. Storm and the man who is Scott Summers a.k.a. Cyclops who saved Logan and Rogue earlier. Jean walks in and then the nature of this strange school is explained. Then we again see Senator Kelly and quickly learn he has now been kidnapped by a mutant or two. We learn that those mutants are Mystique, Toad, and the one who fought Logan is Sabertooth. We learn what Rogue’s power is and soon she’s kidnapped and the X-Men go to rescue her and find out Magneto’s plan to turn all these world leaders into mutants as he did with Senator Kelly, but it killed the Senator and Magneto doesn’t know he is dead. The Statue of Liberty becomes the battle place between Logan and Sabertooth, and between Logan and Mystique. Rogue is used to power this machine Magneto created. And I’m not going to ruin the end for you. (Can you believe that is as short as I could make this explanation?? It was longer! Lol) This movie can be rented, but I suggest getting the X-Men 1.5 since it has hours of extras and is a lot of fun.
Okay…now onto X-Men 2…well we are going to learn about Logan’s past. And that I think is totally wicked. We get to meet a few new mutants like Kurt Wagner a.k.a. Nightcrawler. Now that is one wicked mutant! We also meet the man who did all the experiments on Logan, one William Stryker. The school is attacked and we meet a girl named Siryn, who where she screams, you want to cover your ears. We also learn Scott’s taste in music…and Bobby’s parents, who until now didn’t know their darling elder child was a mutant. We also learn that it’s passed down through the males (one more thing we can blame them for ladies! Lol). In the attack on the school a few kids are taken so it’s up to the X-Men, plus Bobby, Rogue, and John (Pyro) to rescue them. Of coarse the kids are told to stay in the jet, which is always the way. We then learn what Lady Deathstrike can do, and how she got her name. She gets to fight Logan in the very chamber where he got his anamantium. And that’s all I am going to tell you, since I hate to spoil the ending of it for you. At the moment this movie is neither in theaters nor on DVD or Video, so you’ll have to wait for this one. The reason this is actually quite short, is because I only saw the movie twice and the first one I own and have watched many, many, many times. So I do hope you enjoy these two! Here are some pictures from both movies.
You can’t have the Good Guys Without the Bad Guys.
