The overall idea behind this site is simple. I work for Pepsi~Cola and travel to many cities. I have a knack for driving in cities. Therefore, I love to travel and meet new people. When my girlfriend, Leah, bought me a gnome for my birthday one year, I decided to take him along on every adventure and every vacation I went on...and so began "The Nodnarb Expeditions"(A video journal of my life). Many, many people ask about Rudy and requested pictures of us at some of our favorite landmarks. What better way to show them than a personal website? I think the best parts to our journeys are being remembered everywhere we go, and meeting many fascinating people. It's funny how everyone seems to remember a guy who looks like a rock n' roller walking around with his gnome. Even a few celebrities have gotten their chance to shmooze with the gnome, and photos are posted in the photo gallery on Rudy's personal page. The inspiration for my travels with Rudy is very simple. When I was a Junior at Madison-Grant High School, I was sitting in my football coach's Physiology class one day before class started watching the news. A story broke about a group of kids who had stolen a garden gnome and took pictures of it in front of historic monuments. I thought that was awesome and inspirational to a bored teen like myself. I, however, was never the kind of guy who would steal, so I patiently waited for life to hand me a gnome of my own. So, thanks, Leah |
