WELCOME Railfans - Model Railroaders - Railroad Historians
The Beaver Valley Junction Chapter NRHS is incorporated in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a non-profit historical organization, under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Beaver Valley Junction Chapter was founded by a small, but dedicated group of railfans in the Conway, PA area. Our goal is to do what we can to preserve the heritage of railroading in Western Pennsylvania and the surrounding regions. Because of our efforts, we have the opportunity to share with others the rich history of railroading. The Chapter currently has around 60 members and consistently grows every year. You do not have to be a member to attend any of the chapter meetings or functions. As we like to say: "Our group plays with the one to one scale trains" Anyone with an interest in trains, railroading, or model railroading is welcome to come and see what we're all about. The BVJ meets on the second saturday of each month. Winter Season Oct-May we meet at the Homewood, PA VFD Hall at 6:00pm. Summer Season June-Sept we meet in Mahoningtown, PA at our restored B&O "UN" Tower at 7:00pm. Other events can change the meeting time and location (see Highball below for dates of upcoming meetings). Our Meetings consist of a business meeting followed by entertainment programs on a particular railroad topic or a mixed bag of locations from all over the country. Always something for everyone.
Watch here for a new link to the BVJ's latest project... The former P&LE train station in West Pittsburg, PA. The chapter has just aquired the station and 4 plus acres of land to start a NEW historical railroad muesum. Also...
