2003 Wooden Robbie Nominees

Worst Film

Every single year there is going to be a handful of bad movies. Some can be so damn bad that its almost ridiculous to even call it a film. With that said, horror was easily the weakest genre for this year with only a few good horrors and many bad ones.... Here are the nominees for Worst Film:

Darkness Falls
This film was one of the first movies released in 2003 and once I witnessed it, I knew it would definetely end up being nominated in the Wooden Robbies for 2003. Many bad things happened in Darkness Falls, the acting was bad, the scares were lame and the development was about five minutes and it quickly became annoying.

House Of 1000 Corpses

Rob Zombie actually has an odd style of direction in this film. Some of it is original and I actually vonsider quite good for the horror genre, but he definetely flawed in many parts. Not only that, but the screenplay of this film was some of the worst of the year, and the acting as well. This was nothing of what I expected, it was plain awful.

House Of The Dead

From the popular arcade game comes this film. I can tll you now to stick with playing the video game because the film offers nothing and I mean nothing at all. Every level of what makes a film good is lowered to negative points in this film. Truly disturbing in a bad way.

In The Cut

This is a film that lacked pace and overloaded on erotic sex and didn't give us enough development for the plot. It almost seems like the screenplay was not made for the murder that was involved in this film. It truly hurts because you can tell when a movie has a potential and In The Cut did.

Jeeper Creepers 2

A horror in this form is why the horror genre is becoming the most hated in recent years. I for one enjoy horrors a lot, but not when they are awfully done. This film is simply the same as the original and the same occurs every minute. The creature keeps coming back to kill the teenage years. Wow, how original.

National Security

Easily the worst comedy of the year, Martin Lawrence lacks what he had in films such as Nothing To Lose and Big Momma's House. He has never been a big star, but this film is awful from beginning to finish.

The Order

Simply put it, this film's screenplay was hardly worked on and the effects are actually some of the worst I have seen. The only positive thing is maybe the locations and with that said, everything else lacks extremely.

And The Winner Is...
