Best Visual Effects
The visual effects in films have become so complex that it is almost ridiculous. There is a difference between well done CG and very badly done CG. I'm not going to get detailed with the bad CG because this category is for the good CG. The visual effects are not only how real it looks on the screen, but how everything comes together with the actors in the film... Here are the nominees for Best Visual Effects:
Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King
Stunning, the perfect words is to call it simply stunning. The entire trilogy features some of the best visual effects of any film ever made. Return Of The King had amazing animals made by the computer that looked almost to real.
Master and Commander: Far Side Of The World

The shots of the cannons were loud, breathtaking and extremely believable. Peter Weir stopped at nothing to place most of the budget on the effects to make this sea adventure a extremely visually stunning one.
The Matrix Reloaded

If theres something to praise about either Matrix sequel then its definetely the visual effects. From slowing down the movement to rocketing sky high, Reloaded looks pretty impressive on screen.
The Matrix Revolutions

Revolutions featured some more very well done effects. Just like the films before it Revolutions is jaw-dropping when it comes to its effects.
Pirates Of The Carribean: Curse Of The Black Pearl

The different ghosts and creatures is where the great effects of Pirates Of The Carribean come in. The art in this film is definetely creative and the timing is great when certain characters switch from human to ghost.
X2: X-Men United

The sequel to a very promising superhero franchise is filled with stunning visual effects. There are many things that these superheroes do that cannot be done by humans. And that is obvious because they are mutants! However, X2 delivers very strong visual effects and it is a complete work of art.
