Best Mainstream Film
Yes, thats right, the mainstream films. In other words, these films are the ones that get wide releases and are shown all throughtout the world. There is usually a lot of marketing and hype put into these films and sometimes they can be very powerful and intense films. There is plenty of mainstream films that are very enjoyable and makes you say "Now thats why I go to the movies" Here are the nominees for Best Mainstream Film:
Kill Bill Vol. 1
Easily among the best of Tarantinos films. This is an intense, bloody, woman power type of film. Plenty of witty dialogue and Thurman plays her role to perfection. Kill Bill Vol. 1 is only the first part of the film and I simply have no clue how Tarantino can top this, but I'm curious to see if he does.
The Last Samurai

The Last Samurai is packed with religion, culture, war and it still maintains plenty of entertainment. It in fact is very emotional as it turns out to become an all out war. Last Samurai sets itself up nicely and builds slowly, but then knocks you out with just one punch. This is certainly a great film.
Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King

Return Of The King may just be the best ending to a trilogy ever. Jackson plays it smart and follows the same formula as its predessors, but even adds more spice to get the Lord Of The Rings fans right back on the band wagon. When it comes to criticism, there isn't really one large problem with Return Of The King. Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King is simply an epic, cinematic masterpiece.
Matchstick Men

It may come as a shocker, but Matchstick Men is definetely this damn good. It provides you with all the slick entertainment you would want in a crime style film. I can say that this is definetely a great motion picture and Scott is a great director. More pictures like Matchstick Men need to be made.
Mystic River

Every emotion of a human body runs wild while witnessing this film. You get hooked on the characters and the problems in hand. It seems as if you are the cop trying to find some evidence. There is plenty of dialogue and sad situations in this movie and the acting drives this film to the limit. Truly a great motion picture, enough said.
And The Winner Is...
