The directors put a lot of work into them and it took them a good amount of years just to write the screenplay. To add to that, independent films are very low budget and when theres hardly any money, thats when creativity comes into play. Independent films are also most of the time very powerful and make an impact in many peoples lives. They are simply films, the way they were meant to be... There is plenty to say about this horrfying drama. Its simply amazing how in just one-hundred and twenty minutes, this film can define many things of why we live. It shows many disturbing situations, but its only smacking you with the truth. This film makes an impact and there are ways of interpreting it, that is the love for film.
In America
A film that in fact is all about irish moving in to america trying to have the peaceful and happy life. The sad truth is present in this film and it certainly came out of nowhere with plenty of points of how beautiful people can be.
Irreversible
Here is an independent film that is definetely not beautiful, but instead it leaves you with a sad feeling. Its probably the most disturbing film to watch and some will walk away from certain scenes that are brutal. However, no one can take away that the film is only telling us the truth and shows us how far a man would go when his love is in danger. This was truly powerful in every sense of the word.
Lost In Translation
Theres plenty to enjoy with Lost In Trnslation. Theres also plenty to relate too and plenty of studying to as you watch it. What makes this film so amazing is the way it draws your attention with just acting. The film doesn;t need to use action or any intense situations to make a point. And that my friends is what you a clever and amazing motion picture.
Monster
Powerful performances and a story that will have your jaw-dropping frequently is a few of the reactions you'll get while watching Monster. This film maintains entertainement because you are interested in the character from the second it starts. It also shows that you can make plenty of money, but if done illegal, it certainly won't pay off in the future. Plenty of great messages in this film and thats part of what makes Independent films so damn good.
Thirteen
The teenager stage is definetely the toughest of the entire seventy year plus life we all live. We go through changes of wanting to explore different things and with that comes the consequences. Thirteen is right on with exactly how teens react in some house and how far they would go just to throw their life away in the long run.
