Best Actress
Acting always plays a big part in making a film great. If the characters are not believable than it will be a big flaw in the movie's result. Each year there are always a few actresses that push their hardest and deliver a performance that is jaw-dropping and definetely excellent to watch. They deserve a lot of credit in how they enhance the films they were in. Here are the nominees for Best Actress:
Monica Bellucci for Irreversible

When it calls for great actong Monica can sure deliver it. It just depends on the director that tells her exactly how he wants it. She shocked me with her performance in Irreversible and it was certainly great acting.
Scarlett Johansson for Lost In Translation

An amazing breakthrough performance by nineteen year old Scarlett. She plays a calm and lonely character who is extremely bored with what the future has to deliver. From how she says things to her facial expressions, she hits the spot with a performance that shines.
Nicole Kidman for Cold Mountain

Its almost amazing how Nicole can do everything and anything. She once again delivers an outstanding performance in a sad epic tale. She chooses her roles wisely and delivers it top notch every time.
Charlize Theron for Monster

A disturbing character is what Charlize plays in this film. Its almost amazing how she came out of no where with a performance so powerful and believable that it almost appears like she was the actual person that went rhough that. From gaining thirty pounds to delivering such a strong performance, Charlize truly hits the spot.
Uma Thurman for Kill Bill: Vol. 1

I certainly didn't overlook Uma's performance this year. With a director like Tarantino, she had the honor of playing a very original and interesting character. From being extremely violent to having catchy lines, Uma's acting is superb.
Naomi Watts For 21 Grams

When you see an actress like Naomi, just a simple regular woman transform herself into a role so different then what she truly is, its almost amazing how easy she can make it look. A great performance in this film, from becoming angry to happy she shows it all.
And The Winner Is...
