Took dance classes after she attended Queensborough Community College to meet the gym requirement

Some notable career moments: 

During an American Music Awards ceremony Alexander met Whitney Houston backstage. Alexander became friends with Houston and ended up working for her for four years as a choreographer on her international tours. 

When Houston took a break in her own career Alexander decided to turn to her acting career.
