The published dates of the Glastonbury Festival are 25th, 26th and 27th June, but the site opens to the general public from Wednesday 23rd June. Building starts ten days before the festival opens and dismantling it takes a further week. Your help is needed throughout these periods. Please read through carefully as we have made some changes to our requirements from previous years. Build up Starts: Saturday 12th June to Tuesday 22ndJune (skills required *see over) Festival Opens: Wednesday 23rd to Sunday 27th June (5 days) Close down Starts: Monday 28thJune to Sunday 4th July (we may require a deposit from you) As part of the crew you get free entry to the festival, free meals, secure crew camping, good company and lots of entertainment. What we ask in return is that you work at least an eight-hour shift each day and are willing to complete a minimum of four shifts during your time with us. Notes on bringing children: Children over 12 years old will need a ticket, which we are unable to provide. Children 12 and under get in for free. Unfortunately we cannot provide a crèche for volunteers' children and you will need to consider their eating arrangements. There are however plenty of activities for children in the Green Kids Area and informal arrangements could be possible.
