Gimli is a dwarf, and the son of Gloin. He spent his youth with the other Dwarves in exile from The Lonely Mountain in the Ered Luin which is northwest of the Shire. He was born in 2879 T.A. Description- He is 4-4 1/2 feet tall. He has long brown hair and a long brown beard.
He chose to represent Dwarves in the Company of the Ring. Gimli was the first Dwarf to enter Lorien since the time of Durin, this is important, as Elves and Dwarves had long been against each other. Gimli falls in love with Galadriel, which is not shown in the august edition of the lotr. (sorry bout the pic he looks pretty scary)
