Aragorn is a ranger who is the unlclaimed King of Gondor, he is the last of the royal blood line. He is a brave warrior and chose to go on the quest to destroy the Ring of power, when Gandalf 'falls' Aragorn leads the fellowship.
He was raised by Elrond and he met Arwen when he was 20 years old. They fell in love and wanted to get married but Elrond said that they could not get married until Aragon became the King of Gondor. This at the time did not seem likely as Aragorn did not want to claim the throne.
