AGOURA RANCH

Originally part of the El Rancho Conejo of Agoura and Thousand Oaks, in 1925, William Randolph Hearst purchased a huge tract of land north of the current 101 Freeway in the current Agoura/Oak Park region. In 1954, Fibber McGee and Molly (Jim and Marian Jordan) purchased what was reported at the time as 5,000 acres of land north of the town of Agoura. It became known as the Jordan Ranch. In later years, Bob Hope purchased the ranch. The present city of Oak Park was built on this ranch area.

DIRECTIONS: To reach the Agoura Ranch, from Los Angeles, take the 101 Freeway North past the City of Calabasas. Exit at Kanan Road and turn right (north). Follow Kanan Road north to Conifer Street. Turn left and go four blocks to Parkview Drive. Turn right/north. The main filming location ranch was located around the intersection of Parkview Drive and E. Oak Meadow Place.
