Leah Owens
In 2002, the young female reporter Leah Owens was in desperate need of respect and attention. Like any other new reporter, she was in search of the one story that would give her the big boost to the top of the pack. After hearing of the animal attacks in a small town in Costa Rica, Leah immediately asked to take the story for her own. Upon arriving in Costa Rica with her camera man partner, Aaron Madison, she spied Alan Grant and Ian Malcolm walking into the jungles. She followed Grant's team into the jungle and was eventually led to a hidden jungle compound. In the end, Leah would be among the few that survived the terrible happenings inside the compound. Leah and Grant became close friends and eventually fell in love. Now, Grant has disappeared with his old love interest, Ellie Degler. Suspicious and concerned for Grant and for their relationship, Leah decides to follow Grant and Ellie, as they are taken away to Isla Sorna. Determined to find out the truth and save Grant, Leah will stop at nothing to get to the island.
