It's that time again. . . FanFiction Awards. Some may find it pointless, but there are others who think it's kind of fun. And it may help bring a little bit of attention back to the FanFiction section. The last year hasn't seen a whole lot of stories, it's been a little bit slow, but there have been some good pieces of fiction worth taking note of. And it seems a new surge of life has been breathed into the FanFiction section over the past two months. Nifty.

Well, the rules are the same as before, but I will state them again! I present to you here the different categories, then you can pick up to five different things to nominate in each category (but if a category has too few contenders, I may cut it down to only three final nominees instead of five). In the nomination round you CAN vote for yourself. However if you vote only for yourself and nobody else, I will not count your votes, because that is uncool. Only stories posted from April 2003 till now will be eligible (the Classic FanFic category is the only category where this rule does not apply). Yet to be completed stories are eligible, as well.

You may post your nominations here, though I would like it if you would email them to me HERE!. Please don't give me your nominations over AOL Instant Messenger, though, that's just sort of difficult.

And feel free in this thread to self-promote yourself and say which stories you have posted since last April, sometimes people need little reminders.

Sorry about having a number of rules like this. I just try to cover everything, so that it's all clear. If however you have a question or suggestion, let me know. If you would like to kind of see what the award show looked like last time I did this, you can go HERE.

The nomination period will last one week. After that, I'll add everything up, and then list the nominees for people to vote on.

I need no more than five (5) noms per category.

Eligible stories are from April 2003 til now (with the exception of Classics category).

You CAN vote for yourself, but NOT ONLY for yourself.

This process will last a week.

Best FanFic based upon a different series or franchise other than JP (I hate the title for that category, but well, there it is)

Best Classic FanFic (this can be a JP fic, an original story, a DanFic, whatever. But it has to be from the years 2000 or 2001)
Best Original Character in a JP FanFic
Best Original Character in an Original Story
Best Character Adaptation
Best Dialogue
Best Details and Descriptions
Best Editing (best grammar, least spelling mistakes, etc.)
Best Action Sequence
Best Hero
Best Villain
Best New Author (posted first story between April 2003 and now)
Best Author
