Who Am I? (DVD) * * * * * (A real jaw dropping, eye popping spectacle of art work) Jackie Chan looses his memory in this film with a difference. When he falls out of a helicopter (A great wow scene), falling miles and miles and crashing into every tree branch on the way, he suffers from amnesia along with many broken bones and countless bruises. While trying to regain his memory, he battles to stop the corrupted CIA agent who's behind the despatch of a deadly high powered explosive rock. This was actually the very first Jackie Chan film I watched, borrowed from my brother and it was then I knew I was going to be his most dedicated fan. Though the first time I watched this, I seem to remember a scene where Jackie is in the factory, trying to recover the explosive, I might be thinking of a completely different film, but I didn't see it in this DVD version. If anyone can help me out with this I will be most grateful. There are loads of great scenes in this film, here's a few of the best. The scene where Jackie spirals down the side of a construction site is surprisingly impressive, as is the city car chase where they manage to skid the car side ways for a few hundred feet then slide it neatly in between two parked cars. As if that wasn't enough, they then drive the car (on its side) through an alleyway that must have been just a few feet wide. A big Wowwwwww. The fight scene with the clogs is great, so much different than anything else he's done, then he skids across the road in them in front of no one but two trucks. Another big Wowwwwwww. Near the very end, you see another big fight scene and then Jackie slides down the side of a building on a slope of what must be nearly vertical. This is one of his most enjoyable films ever.
