Rush Hour2 (Cinema) * * * * *

Its Tuesday 7th August and I have just got back from the cinema, I couldn't wait to write my review on this film because it was just so great. When I watched Rush hour 1 I thought it was spectacular, but after watching this second instalment, I can't wait until they make 3 and 4.

There are many amazing stunts and fight scenes, and the comedy, although maybe not as much as in the first film, this is an obvious sign that Jackie and Chris are an unmatchable duo. Being the mismatched cops from different backgrounds makes them a great act, and I think they could make loads of films together without ever getting boring.

The film starts off in Hong Kong, exactly where the first film left off. While driving through the streets on their supposed vacation, Lee (Jackie) gets a call from the police force and they are off on the trail of fighting, killing and stunt work.

Climbing a bamboo scaffolding tower and fighting along the way up, the gags are great and made me laugh on more than one occasion.

The best stunt of them all (which actually took many attempts) is when Jackie manages to squeeze himself through the tiny gap of  a bank tellers window. You know the bars that cover the window? And the little gap at the bottom for putting your money through? Well that's what he jumps through. it had my mouth open in astonishment just watching it.

The traditional cock ups at the end are another great feature that follows many of Jackies films, and the most memerable of them all are when Chris's phone goes off during filming and right at the end, when the man flies out the window and crashes onto the car, Chris says, He's certainly not going to be in Rush hour 3. I thought that was the funniest part of the film.

I just can't wait till it comes out on DVD, I will update this review (though I can't give much more praise than this) when I get it.

SUPERB MASTERPIECE
