Project A (DVD) * * *

Project A is not my favourite of all Jackie Chan films, but the stunt work is (mostly) well thought out. This is of course except for the clock tower scene. You would have thought by now they would have learned to use safety mats for protection, but no, they never learn. As a result, Jackie caused himself yet another injury by falling from the tower (unplanned) and tumbling awkwardly to the floor in a crumpled heap. Though the actual fall was still used in the film, they re-shot the scene after he fell so he still gets up and walks away. A very good scene to watch, but it is made even more jaw dropping when you understand that the fall was real and not acted.

There is also a very good bicycle scene too, but that is just about it. All in all, it was not the film I was expecting, maybe Project A2 will be more action packed.
