Island Of Fire (DVD) * *

(Both different and a con)

You'd be surprised what you can do with a coat full of drink cans, especially if you know what to do with them. Though this film had some really great scenes in it, it was a bit of a disappointment to say the least. Jackie's not the lead actor in this film, or is he? The plot is rather debatable at times. You don't see him at all in the film until about half way through, then you get about ten minutes worth of him and he's gone again. He pops up again a few more times throughout the film, but not for very long.

Playing a whiz kid pool player who has to earn a few thousand dollars so his girlfriend can have an operation to save her from death after she is stabbed, Jackie himself accidentally stabs someone else and kills him, thus ending up in jail with a bunch of vicious criminals intent on revenge. Also starring is Sammo Hung, a father who repeatedly attempts to break out and see his son. Its really a good storyline, and is a great watch for any action film buff, but for Jackie fans, its nowhere near the standards he has now.

One more thing to make you want to watch this film, the ending is astounding and contradicts what Jackie has always said, the good guys always win. I think you were wrong here Jackie. It maybe something that Jackie has only ever done a few times, and I think you will be completely shocked by it, so watch the film and find out.
