Truth be told, this is actually "Godzilla Jr.", the one who hatched from the sole-surviving egg in the bowels of Madison Square Garden (see the movie GODZILLA-1998 for full story). After absorbing the radiation from mom, this Godzilla shocked the military when they learned it could regenerate and heal at an accelerated rate. This Godzilla cannot lay eggs, it is the true last of its kind. Godzilla is more aggressive than mom was, and isn't so quick to run from a fight. The military has begun plans to try and rid NYC of Godzilla, using another monster who used to use New York as its stomping grounds as well.
