ABOUT HIS CHARACTER
James Marsden plays Derrick Webb in GOSSIP. Derrick is a rich young man who owns a large loft where he lets his two friends live rent-free. The campus lothario, he likes Jones' idea of starting a rumor to see how far it's spreads. He especially likes the idea when he spots the perfect target...the campus virgin Naomi Preston. But his intentions for gossip-mongering hide a secret, a secret about Naomi.
ABOUT JAMES
James was born September 18, 1973 in Stillwater, Oklahoma, USA. He stands tall at 6'1". This fall James will be joining the cast of the critically acclaimed comedy "Ally McBeal". Most recently he starred in the Emmy Award winning TV series "Ally McBeal" as attorney Glenn Foy. He can also be seen in the upcoming "X-Men" sequel "X2" reuniting him with Halle Barry and Hugh Jackman along with new castmembers Kelly Hu and Alan Cumming. Marsden has also got a musical side, he performs the song "Glow" in the film GOSSIP. Besides Joshua Jackson, Marsden has starred in film with another "Dawson's Creek" star, "Disturbing Behavior" with Katie Holmes.
