GOSSIP IS DIRECTED BY DAVIS GUGGENHEIM Davis is the son of documentary director Charles Guggenheim. Davis is married to actress Elisabeth Shue, the star of films such as "Leaving Las Vegas", "Hollow Man" and "Oprah Winfrey Presents: Amy and Isabelle". Davis also produced the film "Training Day" starring Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawke, Charlotte Ayanna("Jawbreaker" and "The Rage: Carrie 2") and music artists Macy Gray, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. The film earned Denzel an Academy Award and Ethan a nomination. Recently Davis has directed for the action-packed series "24" and "Alias" (both which have big-screen style directing). In GOSSIP there is a scene where Derrick is making out with a girl in a bathroom, Davis didn't like how the girl sounded so he substituted her voice with his wife's voice, Elisabeth Shue re-did all of the girl's dialogue in a studio. Guggenheim has worked with GOSSIP co-star Sharon Lawrence when he directed for the TV series "NYPD Blue" in which Lawrence was once a regular cast member. In GOSSIP Guggenheim's parents Charles and Marion did the voices of Derrick Webb's parents, but that scene was deleted.
