Music Video

:::Tourniquet::: Tourniquet is obviously a music video to Evanescence's song called 'Tourniquet'. But it is much more than that... :::Pre Production::: The idea for the Tourniquet video originated as a completely different story than what actually was filmed. A friend and I were on a road trip in the car thinking about stuff to make it be an awesome video. About a year later I still had it fresh in my head, and wrote out the scripting, filming process, scenes, props and everything needed in order to create the video. :::The Making of the Video::: Making the video was the best. We filmed all the band scenes in an abandoned boy scout camp mess hall. You will have to believe me on this one, it is 100000 times better than a few shots we took in my friend's bedroom.... we decided that wouldn't have worked out so we went to that place instead. That was a bittersweet place to be. When you watch the video, you will notice in the band scenes that there is no drummer or bassist, yet all their stuff is set up.Yeah, the boy who was to play the bassist, Steven, decided it would be a great idea to punch through a window in the kitchen while we were all setting up... Well, the window broke and so did his major arterie, and a few tendons here and there...a muscle or two...you know, probably the most wrong thing that could have happend that day. So Torry, the drummer, took him to the hospital and we continued to film. (So if you notice blood on the ground in the band scenes, thats REAL blood!) We shot the bedroom scenes where Jordan yells and throws ashley onto the bed, about 50000 times so we could ensure we got the best angles and the best variety to capture the emotion that was happening in each scene. The blood scenes, actually ruined chocolate for me, as the blood smelt like chocolate. The Graveyard scenes are great! Matt was able to rent a Canon GL1 to do those shots, and the quality is absolutley fabulous. As far as those scenes go, they were gorgeous, its really a shame we only used about 5% of what we filmed. :::The Final Hours::: Editing this son of a bitch took 21 hours for the final version (mind you, there were little versions from both Matt and I that took probably about 5 hours each) over 3 days, but we finished it. It took about 3 weekends to film and over a year to make the concept an actual reality. We had a lot of input from our friends and the actors on what they would like to see happen so the storyline actually changed from a troubled girl commiting suicide for no reason, to an abusive relationship gone far too wrong. :::Funny Facts::: Ashley's Spirit Dress was actually an old wedding dress given to us by the Shleter on the Hill thift store, and cut up to create the version you saw in the video. We altered it to where we knicked up the zipper and it would completely all come off, so we would have to stop filming and fix her dress, which took probably about 2 hours out of the whole filming process. Jordan was yelling the most hialrious stuff at ashley to get the point across on film that he was an angry mother fucker... saying stuff like "get out of here you stupid slut, you've been sleeping with the god damned neighbor haven't you" only to be followed by "LOOK, IM SORRY, GET THE FUCK OUT HERE OPEN THIS GOD DAMNED DOOR, IM SORRY" In the 2nd bathroom scene. Eric 'Emo Boy' was actually a last minute actor who showed up after the original actors had other things come up (ermbullshit hehehe) so kudos to him, he rocked. 'Serena' the tiger, seriously wanted to eat Ashley... she didn't like the white dress she had one... :::::if you have any questions or comments, want to hear more?:::::: Contact: ForkeD_Productions@hotmail.com
