My Reviews

Black Hawk Down This is a VERY good movie. I think the fact that the whole movie is based on real events, makes it a bunch more touching. Ewan plays company clerk Grimes, a desk worker who makes coffee. When one of the soldiers is injured playing ping-pong, they send the very un-trained Ewan in. This is a great movie and i think y'all should go see it. that is ofcourse if you can stomach... well... stomachs. I personally think that it is not that gory but everyone else was like throwing up in the movie. One thing I think we all agree on is that there is not enough Ewan!

Serpent's Kiss This is a period drama where Ewan plays a "dutch" gardner named Meneer Chrome. Turns out things arent what they seem, thats as much as i can put without giving the ending away. While designing this garden, he falls in love with the young daughter of his employer. She is a weird person and i think that she is posessed. nevertheless, ewan loves her. When he cuts down her forest, she goes all psycho-bitch on him and flips. good movie. Ewan's second with actor Pete Poselthwaite.

Nightwatch This is a creepy movie. Ewan plays a young american boy who is hired to do the nightshift at a morgue. long story cut short, ewan almost gets killed a number of times and all is good. Nah, you dont really get attached to the characters that much, and they start dying like fleas anyway. oh well, it has ewan in it so we all love him. there is this one bit where he's in the bathtub ;D 'nuff said. naw, its nothing on the Velvet goldmine/trainspotting/pillow book scale where there is a guest appearance but he's wet. =)

Little Voice if you have seen the episode of *tales of the crypt--cold war* then you are plenty familiar with Jane Horrocks and Ewan. This is a rather normal English flick with an individual twist. At times Jane Horrocks' character, LV, is somewhat scary. But when Billy- played by ewan, a telephone worker meets the mysterious LV, sparks fly very quietly. they are both very sweet and shy, which is a big change from Curt Wild or Mark Renton. the only ting kinda creepy about Billy is his strange bond with his homing pigeons.

Velvet Goldmine WOW! this movie proves that ewan can be a rock star! if you cant stomach sex, drugs, and rock and roll, this movie isnt for you. the love story between Brian Slade and Curt Wild(ewan) somehow touches your heart and then rips it out with the sad parting. The costumes are great and you are led to belive that you really are livin in the Glam Rock era.

A Life Less Ordinary Ewan manages to pull off a Scottish janitor bum in this movie! the script is quite humorous and Ewan has great chemistry with the leading lady, Cameron Diaz. The movie is very off the wall, using clay-mation at the end and weaving angels sent from heaven into the plot. Nevertheless, Ewan delivers a great performance and the love story between the stuck up rich girl and the poor scot janitor is so sweet.

Eye of the Beholder Ewan is great in this movie. He plays a private investigator who got separated from his wife and little girl 7 years prior. When he's working, khe imagines her, but one day, he comes across a killer. Her Name is Joanna Eris and he, for some reason, feels he needs to help her. The movie is somewhat confusing and the ending wasnt all that good, but Ewan delivers a dynamite performance.

Rogue Trader this is a story about a young stock trader from northern England who gets sent out to Asia. While working in Singapore he meets a girl and they eventually get married. The movie explores the ups and downs of the stock market. This is a great movie to see if you are just into looking at Ewan. Since he is the main character in this movie, he is in it ALOT, but the plot can be somewhat confusing.

Moulin Rouge I honestly think this is one of his best movies to date. He sings, he dances, and he cries. For all who don't know, this is a story about a courtesan, satine (Nicole Kidman), who ends up in a love triangle that turns deadly. Not only do the main characters have great voices, there is alot of exciting extras on them on the DVD. Have fun watchin it, and make sure you dont just melt when you hear Ewan sing!

StarWars-Ep. I I dont think this was the best choice of a role for Ewan to play, but who could pass over a chance to play Obi-wan Kenobi in STARWARS?? i certainly wouldnt. This might have been a good career choice cuz he now has a bunch of sci-fi fans too. i just think that ben kenobi is too uptight. still, this guarantees 2 more ewan movies. he's in ep 2 and ep 3 as well.

Shallow Grave This is the first movie Ewan made with Danny Boyle, who also directed Trainspotting. The sick humor of ewan's character-Alex Law, makes up for the psycho David, played by Christopher Eccelston. The basic plot is 3 roommates get a guy(Hugo)to live in their flat (apartment) with them. After like, a day, they find him dead, and Alex manages to find a suitcase of money under his bed. After picking straws, David picks the short one and has to cut off hugos hands and feet and smash his head in. Unfortunately, they dont dig the grave deep enough (hence the name) and the bodies are found. this move is mainly about Davids descent into madness, but to prevent the veiwers from getting suicidal-tendencies, they throw Alex into the mix. It's a good movie, but not the best if you have an attic above your room (watch the movie to find out what I mean).

heres a fun site that provides hours of entertainment =)
