Tobey Maguire will not be joining Steve Martin, Kevin Kline and Ryan Phillippe in Fred Schepisi's film of Martin's Picasso at the Lapin Agile. "We've never been able to cut through the wall in front of him," Schepisi told me at the IFP Gotham Awards last night. Ditto Reese Witherspoon, who has elected also not to join the troupe opposite her hubby, Phillippe. "They don't like to do projects together," Schepisi reported with a shrug. Nevertheless this terrific film is due to start production in February. The hunt for an actor to play Albert Einstein is on, but offers are out and a name should pop up in a short time, Schepisi reported. Elijah Wood, meantime, is considering the role. - I would really really love to see Lij play that role! Einstein is the greatest!

As "Spider-Man" swings into movie theaters this weekend, filmmaker Quentin Tarantino plans to bring another comic book adaptation to the silver screen. Tarantino will serve as executive producer of a film based on the Marvel comic series, "Mort: the Dead Teenager," Tarantino's publicist Bumble Ward said on Friday. Madonna (news - web sites)'s Maverick Films will co-produce the movie. In a departure from other Marvel comics, the movie's main character, Mort, is not a superhero, but a teenager who is beheaded in a train accident at the start of the film. Mort descends in the Netherworld and meets Teen Death, the son of the Grim Reaper, and "the two of them get into all sorts of trouble," said Zachary Feurer, a producer at Maverick Films. "Mort convinces Teen Death to return to high school with him so he can win back the girl of his dreams, even though he's dead." "The film is a completely unique look at adolescence as seen through the eyes of a fantasy. It speaks to teen-agers everywhere," Feurer said. "It's a teen comedy with a 'Beetlejuice' sensibility." Actress Dominique Swain, who starred in "Lolita," and Elijah Wood, who recently appeared as the young hobbit Frodo in "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring," are being considered for the lead roles, Feurer said. - sounds cool. I could really see Elijah playing a dead person....hehehe...only one person I know would get that!

Been busy (watching Matrix films at 9PM and then Reloaded it again at 11:59...then saw FOTR (on the 15) AT THE CINEMA (not video) for the what...6th time at the movies? :==: I'm so sorry! I've been the worst web-site-owner-chick in world! Will you forgive me If I tell you there is NO Elijah news (I think he's in New Zealand...so close but yet so far away) and while not updating I bought a LOTR doona cover, when I lay down to sleep at night Elijah's head is in the most innapropate place! (it's double sided) And, I also bought probably my favourtie Lijah movie on dvd - The Good Son...and guess what it says? The Cliff-hanger (stupid pun intended) part of the movie was done with no Special FX, but just Lij and Macauly and a some stunt men...wow! Oh and I got a letter (facts sheet) with Elijah on the envolpe! I did a "send a stamped self addressed envolpe" thing and I put a pic of Lij on it and it was so cool to get it in th mail (I kept it BTW)

:==: hi, sorry for lack of updates, not much news and I have life outta the Matri-uh-Computer - May not be happy all the time but it's there. Just 3 things today:
:==: One: Elijah is still alive (as best to my knowlage) - unlike to what some people have been thinking.
:==: Two: 'Try Seventeen' (or 'All I Want' as it is now known to some people) will be released randomly in selected parts of the world. Execpt for where I am and probably where you are. Best I can say about what's going on with this movie don't get your hopes up.
:==: Three: PLEASE vote for Elijah and TTT on the MTV.com 2003 Movie Awards (which will be aired on MTV - although there is a 98% chance Elijah will NOT be there and will be filming LOTR reshoots like last year) - YOU CAN VOTE AS MUCH AS YOU WANT SO VOTE A LOT!!!http://www.mtv.com/onair/movieawards/ma03/nominees/

:==: Just a small update today cuz I have a really bad craving for chocolate, esp. Lij chocolate. Shall buy more.
:==: Anyone cares, there is a TTT showbag at the Royal Easter show (if that's still on in Sydney), it has a a very cool lotr plastic bag, Light-up Sting (Frodo's sword), A cape, an engraved Ring, and bow-and-arrow (I think) - all this for under $20!

:==: Sorry about the lack of updates! Just been really busy, and it's only gonna get worse! :(
:==: For anyone in NSW (and maybe other parts of Oz), Back to The Future: Part 2, is comming on Southern Cross Ten (10), 8:30 Saturday. But be sure to check your local guide as well. And WHATEVER you do, DON'T miss the start; that's when Lij comes in! And Heavenly Creatures is comming on that same night on Prime (7) - It's a Peter Jackson film that Lij likes! That comes on after BTTF:P2 around 10 or something!
:==: For all you Lij stalkers out there, Lij will be heading back to New Zealand (I hate to do this, but I must be v. evil/jelous and call him a bastard for doing so - I LOVE NZ, how come HE gets to go back there so much? *sulk*) - He'll be doing more ROTK re-shoots (so... close....to me *sigh*) - Although the movie is already pretty much done, Peter thought there's a little something missing (all for the best) so, he could be doing this sometime soon, either now, or in May, June, or July. No-one is quite sure, but I know he's going back!
:==: Lij also signed up for a new role! It's called "Happy Feet" and it's 3D movie (like Toy Story, Monsters Inc. etc.) about a penguin, called Mumble (Lij), having adventures in Antartica - And it's gonna be recoreded in Australia (yay!) ... in 2005 (boo) - more info here

:==: Hi, sorry I havn't updated since March, I'm busy buying a PS2 (Lij had one that he tried to plug in in NZ and he broke it!) and working! So :P I also saw Ned Kelly (with Orli) - We were gonna see TTT again but I don't know what happend. It was bad, they killed too many animals. - Makes me wanna go see Kelly's armer again tho, but last time I checked it's too close to Pharlap's heart (so gross)! *shrugs*
:==: The Eternal Sunshine Of A Spotless Mind is now gonna be realesed November 14 (2003 I hope) - But I sadly assume (I hate that word) that that is the American relase and I won't see it till at least 2004. *sigh* When's the aussie release date of that and/or Try Seventeen????

:==: Guess what happend today??????? I got paid! Yay and first thing I bought with my first ever pay? Elijah Wood's Frodo TTT action figure! Yay! I've been trying SOOOOOOO hard to get it! Very rare they are.... Second thing I got? A TTT Lunch Box with our hottie hobbit on the top! yay! (Later on in the day I also snapped up some Lijah chocolate and Pepsi mutli pack with HUGE pic on it! :) - the same as the one on the chocolate....it's in the gallery)

:==: There was this cool comic in the newspaper today called Swamp(.com.au) by Gary Clark (he's pretty cool) and in todays the turtle guy was holding a big HUGE book, he goes into the libary and says "Here it is... 'Lord Of the Rings'! Returned on time so, No late fees for once..." and then he tosses it onto the Checkout bench and it crushs it with a "THUD"! The duck behind the now crushed check out counter then says "Do you realize what these benches cost?" -*lol* Funny if you have the comic but I have no scanner so I can't get it up, but try to picture it!

Make ROTK #1

(Copy and paste this and put it on your site or send it friends) I was upset when I looked at the top 5 films of all time to see All these movie above FOTR (TTT is #7)! Lord of the Rings is better then Titanic!!! So I've come up with a plan but I can't do it on my own so I need everyone's help. I want an Elijah movie to be the number one movie of all time, and let's face it; Try Seventeen won't make it. But with the 3rd LOTR movie The Return of the King comming out later this year, we could make it! We not only have the massive group of Tolkien fans world-wide to help it climb the ladder, but all those Orli Bloom fans! (Not to mention the Dom, Billy, Sean, & Peter J fans) So what we have to do is get all you friends who havn't seen the first two films around and watch FOTR and them take them to see TTT, and then make every-single one of them massive fans of it! This involes telling them how much effort went into the film or making them a obsessed hobbit fan! Then as soon as you can pre-book as many ROTK tickets as you can and take all your friends along, then don't forget to see it as many times a possible with as many people as possible!!!!!! NOW, Please spread the word and make ROTK the number ONE film of all time!!!!!!
