  ElectricPics

Hi. I set up this site in Feb '04 to post some pics. I hope you like at least some of them. You are welcome to use the pics for personal use only. Most of my earlier scenes are taken with a Canon 500N SLR using  Canon lemses, 28 to 80mm zoom and a  75 to 300mm zoom. The processed prints are scanned onto my pc.

In October 2003 I purchased  a Canon A70 3.2 digital camera and soon after added a detachable tele-converter (TC-DC52 2.4X). Although the tele-converter is very useful it requires good lighting on the subject. Unfortunately in strong sunshine it is difficult to see your subject as you cannot use the eyepiece!  The camera is sometime a little slow to react and an opportunity was lost. In Rome in October 2003 I spotted about 40 (yes) nuns in full flight from one bus to another at the Termini. I missed the opportunity and will not likely get it again! I need a faster camera! If I purchase a Canon 300D I will certainly hold onto my A70 as it is very portable. It makes sense to go this way as the lenses on the 500N will connect straight on but it's not cheap for me, an occasional user.
