Friday was the night that I have been waiting for a while now. Before I realized, the night was over and it was time to leave. But let me recap what happened in between . . .

Early Friday morning, I was prepping the car for Madisen. I finally got the excuse to wash the rims as it had been caked with brake dust and has become a huge eyesore. So nice to finally see again that the rims are white and not black. Well, fast forward to mid-day. I went to the flower shop to pick up all the flowers. They were so pretty! I got a single rose to give to my date later that night. Well, fast forward again to half an hour before departure for Madisen's house. The rush was on to get everything prepared and readied. I took a picture with my grandparents, parents, and finally we were off. My parents were off to Richelle's house and I was off to Madisen's. I drove over to her house and found it without a hitch. As I stood at the door getting ready to ring the doorbell, I heard a little dog having a jolly talk-a-thon inside the house. I thought to myself . ."well, someone knows I'm here already". I rang the doorbell and was greeted by Ms. O'laughlin. She was really friendly and welcomed me into the house. Inside, I met Mr. O'laughlin, who was having a bit of trouble trying to calm the little pup down. From the stairs I hear someone rushing down; it almost sounds like someone tripped and was falling head over heels down the stairs. But out came Madisen's friend (who I mistaken took her for her younger sister; I feel so embarrassed!) We talked for a bit, discussing how it was my first formal prom, and how next week will be hers as well. As we're talking, the O'Laughlins were busy preparing the cameras and camcorders to record their daughter and her date. Then Madisen herself came down the stairs looking absolutely amazing in a sparkly blue dress (it kinda adds to the effect since I never see her outside of work clothes which comprises of sweats and a t-shirt). We did the customary boutonnière, corsage, and garter and then we headed outside for some photos. Then off we went to Richelle's house to gather for the limo. My parents called me twice on the trip wondering when we'll get there. If anyone of you ever get a chance to view the video, you'll actually see that my mom as successfully recorded me driving up to Richelle's house. Everyone was waiting for Justin and us. After everyone had arrived, we gathered in the limo and off we went to the venue. Fast forward through introducing my date to my friends, getting bombarded with flash photography, and having dinner, its off to the dance floor! Madisen and I danced amongst some of the people that she knew. One bit of an amusing moment for me was when I was turning around to look at people while Madisen was dancing with Jen Cosgriff. I looked back to realize that Madisen was a lot shorter than she was just a moment ago. Took me a while to realize that she had taken her shoes off. After that, Madisen and I danced by ourselves and talked for a bit. Before we knew it, we had our last dance, and the night of "The Red Carpet Affair" came to an end. We went back to Richelle's where Madisen and I parted ways with my friends who decided to stay for a little longer. I drove Madisen back to her house where I gave her my handkerchief and said our goodbyes.

Madisen, I like to say a Thank You for attending Senior Prom with me. You have made the evening a truly pleasant and wonderful one. You have carried yourself throughout the evening with much class, sophistication, and charm. I hope that you have enjoyed your evening as much as I have. Thank you for making my first and last prom one truly to be remembered. I wish that you will have a lot of fun at your prom, exactly one week away from mine held at the exact same location =).

On to the photo-gallery!

Well, tonight I had my last concert for my high school career. It was a good concert. Bawler (spelling?) Phil did the most impressive job of recovering from a fleeing drumstick with the most spectacular drum solo yet. And he did it with only one stick and one hand. Craig dominated the awards with a John Philips Sousa Award and another award that is slipping from my memory right now. We gave Rossi a gift certificate to the Napa Valley Wine Train Tour. Anyone who's had Rossi for a while knows the reasoning behind this. Louie and I were discussing about me taking up jazz flute at Davis. I'm seriously considering that . . .

My Senior Prom will be held at the Hyatt Regency at Fisherman's Wharf tomorrow night. Madisen and I will be attending this event together! Pictures will be up soon!

Added in a gallery of my Golden Retriever puppy, Sammy! He's been by my side through my ups and downs and I feel its appropriate to dedicate a gallery to him.

Well, I went to the Swim Championships for the H.A.A.L. on Wednesday. The Girls won first and the Guys got second place. Congratulations! It has been a hectic couple of days for me recently so I wasn't able to update a whole lot. Tuesday and Wednesday were dedicated to AP tests; by golly those were horrible. On Thursday, eh, nothing happened. Today, went to Great America! Now I'm sitting here typing this as my knees are screaming out in pain from the long walks.

The "Photo Gallery" page has been updated with the Swim Champs gallery. The Hawaii trip gallery will hopefully be up soon. As of now, the site is approximately 75% completed in the first revision.

On a couple of more personal notes, Senior Prom planning is getting down to the homestretch. Madisen took care of the flowers the other day, including hers and mine. Don't ask why; long story. However, from what she's telling me, they look absolutely fabulous. Prom is next Friday, YAY! Will be held at the Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf! I'm absolutely positively certain that Madisen will look simply amazing and stunning the night of prom. Only a week away until "The Red Carpet Affair" . . . .

So yeah, here we are on a warm Monday evening. Balmy hot in the room with a 81.5 degrees. Hawai'i was awesome. Warm, not too hot, and windy! Warm rain, you can literally walk outside in a good sized downpour and still be comfortable. Long walks on beaches thinking about life and everything around it, playing volleyball with friendly strangers, watching children romping in the sand, their parents soaking up the warm sun. I miss Hawai'i, the good people, good food, pool, the car show=), Diamond Head hike and everything else. But what's most important about this trip was that I spent it with almost all of the people I care about the most. Yes yes, as most of you are wondering WHEN I will have the picture CD ready, patience! I have taken over 2000 pictures in these 7 days in the country . . er . . .state, and I need time to sort through them! IN the meantime, hopefully I will be able to post some online.

P.S. Oh yea. . .Madisen and I are going to prom!
