Wei Pai is a native of Hong Kong and a Shaw Brothers/Golden Harvest actor. He played #2, the snake, in 5 Deadly Venoms , the movie from which the Venoms got their name. Even so, Wei Pai is not considered a venom. He didn't appear in many movies with the venoms. He later went to Golden Harvest. There, he made a popular movie, The Last Hurrah for Chivalry. There is not much info on him and where he is today.
I first saw Wei Pai in the venoms' movie, Kid With the Golden Arm. At that time, I wasn't even familiar with Shaw Brothers, and I didn't exactly pay much attention to the movie. Then I saw Invincible Shaolin and 5 Venoms and started learning who they were. My favorite Wei Pai movie is Last Hurrah for Chivalry.
