"True black metal"- Metal Blade
“Infernal Warlords are sick, and it's contagious"- Black Metal International
“Amazing. Absoloutley amazing" - Rock Monthly
Formed in 1997, Infernal Warlords have been tearing the place down since their teens. The two-some, from Northern England, have honed their style since then and ironed out all flaws, while still staying true to their black metal roots. Their debut album, "Frostwinter", surfaced in the UK black metal scene in late '98. It was an immediate hit with die-hard black metal fans.
Their follow up album, "Beyond the great mountains", did not dissapoint. By 2001, Infernal Warlords were touted as the UK's number one black metal band, but so much recognition hasn't gone to their heads. "We don't care about fame", says Khar (Guitar, Vocals). "We just want to play music that means something to us and others. We have strong messages in our music, and they won't please everyone".
Now, Infernal Warlords are ready to release their third album, "Battles of the Northern Kingdom". It contains an incredible mix of blistering black metal and a deep atmosphere. Add that to Khar's lyrics, which are sure to offend more than a few listeners, and you're onto a winner. "We're not here to cater for everyone", growls Thrak (Drums, Vocals), "And we're not gonna change".
