COLORADO BLIZZARD OF 2003

One thing we noticed here in Colorado is that people don't freak when they hear the word 'snow storm/blizzard'. They don't panic and run for the grocery stores, buying out the bread and non-perishables. They seem to take one day at a time and remain calm. The entire place seem to shut down and become a ghost town, as you can see in these photos.

However, they have a very good and reliable highway department here and they are on top of things immediately and so it's not long before they have the roads cleared and traffic goes back to normal.
